I’m Debbie Swart, the face, heart, and hands behind Just Ask Debbie. What started as a small dream has grown into a trusted gifting business known for thoughtful service, attention to detail, and happy customers. My goal is simple: to create beautiful, personalized gifts that make people smile, feel special, and be remembered long after they’re opened.
Just Ask Debbie is proudly run from my home studio in Waverley, Pretoria, where every order is personally designed and crafted by me. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to serve customers both locally and internationally, many of whom return again and again — and happily recommend my work to friends and family. That trust means everything to me.
How It All Began
The idea for Just Ask Debbie started back in 2019, driven by my passion for helping people and finding solutions. I built everything from the ground up — websites, social media, and systems — and before long, people started saying, “Just ask Debbie, she’ll help.” That phrase stuck, and it became the heart of the brand.
In 2020, life took a beautiful turn when I welcomed my baby, and like many businesses, things slowed down during the pandemic. But the dream never left. As my little one grew, I felt that familiar spark calling me back.
In October 2021, I made the big decision to focus fully on personalized gifts and handle everything myself — from design to production. I invested in professional equipment, trusted my vision, and took a leap of faith. The response was incredible. Orders started coming in almost immediately, and the support from friends and customers confirmed I was on the right path.
On 1 November 2021, Just Ask Debbie officially relaunched — and it’s been a joyful, rewarding journey ever since.
